    WordPress Forum Post copied here:

    Hello –
I’m using BPS pro v. 5.6.1. I want to allow my hosting company to run a nightly website scan on my files. How can I whitelist their IP addresses and/or hosts? Do I need to add the IPs to all of my .htaccess files?
    Thanks

I don’t think you would need to whitelist your web host’s IP Address since the scan they would be performing would probably be run internally and not from an external IP Address.  I assume they would be scanning files at the FTP level and not the HTTP level.  If they are scanning at the HTTP level then you would need to edit your Plugin Firewall .htaccess file with the BPS .htaccess editor and add this line of htaccess code to whitlist the IP Address replacing the x’s with the actual IP Address you want to whitelist.

    Allow from xxx.xxx.xx.x
