We decided not to continue to go the traditional route of offering a Developers License since the cost of BulletProof Security Pro is an extremely reasonable/fair price without any recurring costs/subscriptions or upgrade fees.  We do offer an Affiliate Program if you would like to offer your customers a 25% discounted price for BulletProof Security Pro.

The BulletProof Security Pro License does not grant or allow re-branding or white labeling of BulletProof Security Pro.

The general idea is we have intentionally kept the price of BulletProof Security Pro extremely low so that everyone can afford BPS Pro.  

We did try some experimentation early on with offering a Developers license and that of course resulted in BPS Pro being given away as part of some other service or package, but the Support of BulletProof Security Pro fell back on us for all of those folks who received BulletProof Security Pro as a part of some other package, such as website design or other services.  We ended up supporting folks who had never purchased BPS Pro, which is very unfair to all the folks who did purchase BPS Pro.  We could of course have tried increasing the Developers License cost, but this goes against the general philosophy of keeping BPS Pro extremely affordable to everyone.  The extremely low cost of BulletProof Security Pro also includes free technical support for life.

Hello, our company just joined the affiliate program. We joined to offer BPS to our WordPress white glove hosting program we have in place. Also, we would like to add BPS pro to our managed WordPress websites which we offer free hosting on.

Since [company name removed for privacy] will be maintaining the websites/WordPress versions and Themes, we would like to add the BPS Pro to each install. I’ve read your TOS on the BPS pro and it seems like if we maintain the sites, then we can install the plugin on each. Our customers for the free hosting service get an elevated editor only status and can’t install plugins or change the theme by themselves. Will that work for you? We don’t want to break any of the policies. If the client leaves our hosting or moves the website, we will uninstall the plugin and for a small fee we zip of their site and send them on their way.

Obviously we would prefer that each individual person purchase a BulletProof Security Pro license.  The cost of the license also covers BulletProof Security Support costs.  As long as these 2 licensing conditions below are being followed appropriately then you can install BPS Pro on your client sites.  If you are just offering hosting services to folks then you cannot install BPS Pro on your client sites without breaking the BPS Pro licensing agreement. 

You can of course install the BPS Free version on all of your client sites if you are just offering Hosting services to clients.  Your clients can then choose to upgrade to BPS Pro if they want to upgrade.  And since you signed up for the BPS Pro Affiliate Program then you can offer BPS Pro at a 25% discount to your clients if you wanted to offer them some sort of incentive deal.

Note:  If you purchase BPS Pro and then install BPS Pro on your client sites then you are responsible for supporting your clients with any BPS Pro support questions.  It would not be fair to us to have to support your clients for free since they did not purchase a BPS Pro license.

If You install BulletProof Security Pro on Your clients websites then You are responsible for supporting BulletProof Security Pro for Your clients. AITpro offers free technical support to the licensee of the BulletProof Security Pro software only and is not responsible for supporting BulletProof Security Pro on Your clients websites.

Conditions That Do Not Qualify As “websites supported directly by You or managed directly by You”

1) If You are a Web Hosting service provider or solely providing website hosting services to Your clients or customers this does not qualify as websites supported directly by You or managed directly by You.  Supported directly by You or managed directly by You specifically means that You are directly working on, directly maintaining or directly managing any websites that You have installed BulletProof Security on, on an ongoing basis.

2) If You build or design websites for clients or customers as a one time sale agreement and You will not be continuing to directly support or directly manage Your clients or customers websites this does not qualify as websites supported directly by You or managed directly by You.  Supported directly by You or managed directly by You specifically means that You are directly working on, directly maintaining or directly managing any websites that You have installed BulletProof Security on, on an ongoing basis.

Would like to know if per your license terms, I could install bps on client website which I have minimal control of?
I additionally would like to know if you have solutions for non-wordpress websites.

When you say “I have minimal control of” what exactly does that mean?  Please state specifically what control of the client website you have and if the client is an ongoing client of yours.  Thank you.
