Hi! First of all a big thanks for all your help, I so appreciate being able to protect my sites with bulletproof, even when I need so much “training” to get it right!

I have malcare pro in one account that had previously gotten hacked, and the file they inject into the public_html folder is like this (example) fhhjyrajhsjh76676dhgajsjd.php, it is random and not in a folder that I could isolate to exclude.

When I get a quaranteen notice, I restore the latest file (they add a new one everyday becasue it keeps getting quaranteened) then I exclude it, but then I guess it still gets quaranteened because this seqence happens again the next day. Is the exclude function just too slow to catch it after I restore it so it keeps quarnateening. I am just not sure what to do? Thank you so much!!

Does Malcare pro have an option setting that allows you to choose where the randomly named file is saved to? If so, then choose your WordPress Uploads folder to save the Malcare pro file – /wp-content/uploads. Unfortunately, since the filename is random, you cannot create an exclude rule for the Malcare pro file.

“MalCare Pro scan results and malware reports are primarily accessed and stored within the MalCare dashboard rather than as local files on your computer

Dashboard View: The primary “save location” is the MalCare plugin dashboard within your WordPress site.

For manual inspection of flagged files, they are generally located in your WordPress root directory or wp-content/uploads folder.”
