1&1 Ionis Managed WordPress hosting additional setup steps:

These 4 BPS Pro features below do not work on 1&1 Ionis Managed WordPress hosting due to restrictions imposed by 1&1 Ionis hosting. All other BPS Pro features work normally.

    Root BulletProof Mode
    Wp-admin BulletProof Mode
    Ini_set options
    PHP Error Logging

These additional steps below are necessary to make BPS Pro alerts and error messages go away.

    Install the BPS Pro plugin
Request a BPS Pro Activation Key on the BPS Pro Activation page.
Go to the Setup Wizard > Setup Wizard Options tab page.
Set this option setting AutoFix (AutoWhitelist|AutoSetup|AutoCleanup) to: AutoFix Off
Set this option setting Go Daddy Managed WordPress Hosting (GDMW) to: Yes
Go to the main Setup Wizard tab page and click the Pre-Installation Wizard and Setup Wizard buttons.

You will most likely see the 2 HPF alerts below.
Create 2 HPF whitelist/ignore rules to whitelist/ignore these files: .gitkeep, php.ini

BPS Hidden Plugin Folder|Files (HPF) Alert
An unrecognized/non-standard WP file was found in your /plugins/ folder. This file may be a hacker file or contain hacker code. If you recognize this file and/or it is safe to ignore this file you can ignore this file check by adding the HPF Ignore Rule shown below in the Ignore Hidden Plugin Folders & Files textarea box option to make this Alert go away.
    File Path: /homepages/42/xxxxx/htdocs/appxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/.gitkeep
    HPF Ignore Rule: .gitkeep

Go to the BPS Pro > S-Monitor page.
Set this option setting Security Status: BPS Pro Version, RBM, WBM & Alerts to: Display Status & Alerts in BPS Only.
Set this option setting PHP Error Log: Check Folder Path Location Alert to: Turn Off Displayed Alerts.

    Notes:
You will see this BPS Pro Alert below on all BPS Pro plugin pages and can ignore it. We will make this Alert a Dismiss Notice in the next BPS Pro version.  Once this BPS Pro Alert has been turned into a Dismiss Notice then you can change the S-Monitor > Security Status: BPS Pro Version, RBM, WBM & Alerts option setting to Display Status & Alerts in WP Dashboard if you would like to use that option setting. For now the BPS Pro Alert is annoying so it is better to display it only in BPS Pro Plugin pages.

BPS Pro Alert! Your site may not be protected by BulletProof Security
The BPS version: BULLETPROOF PRO x.x SECURE .HTACCESS line of code was not found at the top of your Root htaccess file.
The BPS version line of code MUST be at the very top of your Root htaccess file.
Go to the Security Modes page and click the Root Folder BulletProof Mode Activate button.

Thanks for sharing the details for this company but due to some technical issues I would suggest going with Cloudways managed WordPress hosting that aimed at individuals and businesses looking for a complete hosting experience.
