On a client site, I removed BPS Pro. I’ve done this several times with no problem. Just deactivate and delete.

Before I did that, I had gotten a few Autorestore turned off email alerts. I was decommissioning the site anyway, so I just removed the plugin. But the emails kept coming!

So I re-installed BPS Pro. Still sending alerts, even though Autorestore was turned on.

I turned Autorestore off, then back on. Still sending alerts.

I changed the Email Alerting & Log File Options > ARQ: When Autorestore Turned Off > Do Not Send Email Alerts. Still sending alerts.

I’ve checked for cron jobs, but I don’t see any.

Help! I’m comfortable with phpMyAdmin if a database edit would fix this!

    Thanks,
    Terri Z

My guess would be there is a backlog of emails on the host mail server and the emails that you are receiving are old. If a bottleneck or other problem occurs on a host mail server and the host fixes that problem then old emails could be sent from the mail server.  Wait to see if the emails stop after a day.  The timestamp in the emails may or may not tell you if that is the problem since the timestamp may be the time that the host mail server processes the emails.
