Block Referer Spammers – Semalt, Kambasoft, Ranksonic, Buttons-for-website

You can do something like this – Add a US CIDR IP address block of code that only allows US IP addresses to view/access your site:  http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/preventing-countries-from-accessing-site/#post-22206 if you only want to allow visitors from the US.  Since you have a VPS, Dedicated or in-house server it would be better to add this US CIDR IP address block of code in your server’s httpd.conf file or vhost file.

Thanks, that looks interesting! I’ll add the CIDR blocks from UK, CA, AUS as well for good measure. I’m rather after english-speaking traffic instead of US-only. One last question: Do I have to constantly update that list? Or are these blocks “fixed”, so the ISPs in the US and other countries always continue to use those IP ranges/blocks?

All IPv4 IP addresses have already been allocated so no those IP addresses will never change.  I am not sure about IPv6 IP addresses so you would have to Google that information.

This is very old and outdated.  Don’t bother with adding this custom code for your site.
