KeymasterEmail Question:
Hi,
I am a customer for the Pro version and I created an account for the forum.
Problems:
- I cannot post a new topic on the forum. Each time I click on BulletProof Security Pro, I am automatically logged out!
- I need some support. The B-Core is totally blank in my WP! I desactivated all plugins; still the same problem. I removed all the htaccess from root, admin and plugins folders; still the same problem. I re-installed WP 3.5.1; still the same problem. I re-installed BPS PRO from the install/backup function; still the same problem. The pages takes several minutes to refresh and then the B-Core page is stil blank! The F-Lock page does not show as well.
- Also, if I click on the WP menu Plugins/Add new, I have the error: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration.” And I do not see plugins listed. I did not change anything on the server!
Any advice on how to proceed?
This started with the latest version 5.6.1
Thanks and regards,

KeymasterYou are actually not being logged out of the Forum. Refresh your Browser and you will see that you are still logged in. We are experimenting with using HttpOnly settings for XSS Session Cookie security and there is a problem with BuddyPress and this setting. Solution for adding BuddyPress HttpOnly: Adding HttpOnly in BuddyPress
When BPS Pro pages are blank that means your website is unable to communicate with the AITpro API Server or your Activation Key is not valid. I checked the Server logs and your website is NOT able to communicate with the AITpro Server.
I have the error: “An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration.”
It sounds like your website is also not able to communicate with WordPress as well. BPS Pro is not capable of blocking communications with WordPress.org. Since you have reinstalled WordPress it is also not a problem with WordPress files.
The problem has to do with your website blocking all communications to other websites.
Did you have any other security plugins installed? Are you blocking IP addresses somewhere? On your website or in your control panel? If you have not done anything then maybe your web host has done something. Please check with your web host since this appears to affecting all communication capabilities and is not isolated to just BPS Pro. Thanks.

KeymasterWe have turned off session.cookie_httponly in the BuddyPress Forum so you should not have any issues with the session cookie now.
AITpro Admin
KeymasterActually as it turns out this was not a problem with session.cookie_httponly and was instead a caching problem. The problem has been resolved.

MemberThanks for your quick answer.
Unfortunately, the problem is not solved.
I have WordfenceSecurity installed, and it is capable to communicate with the WP site to compare files. As well, when I checked for plugins update (using the WP button), it could confirm that all my plugins are up to date. Only checking for new pluglins fails. Anyway, even when I desactivte Wordfence, I still have the same problems.
Also, the webhost is myself, I mean, I have my own VPS, on which I did not change any configuration.
This is puzzling. I wonder if another plugin update may have force-changed something it sould not have. But I have no way how to confirm that or even find out what plugin may have caused the disruption…
Any idea?
Thanks,

KeymasterWordfence can block BPS Pro Activation Key requests and also general communication/connectivity with the AITpro API Server/website – this is a known problem: http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/no-bps-pro-activation-key/ it appears that Wordfence allows itself to communicate, but can block other plugins or other things so…
I assume Wordfence has a way to unblock things since other people have told me they can unblock IP addresses and other things that Wordfence blocks.
When you are checking for new plugins you are checking the WordPress.org Downloads Server. If that is being blocked then something on your website is blocking that communication/connectivity. Your Host could also be causing these issues/problems. Please check with your Host support.

KeymasterUPDATE: This issue was resolved via direct emails.
Also check your Server Logs. They will tell you what is being blocked and maybe what is doing this as well.
When you say you have your own VPS is it in-house or does the Server belong to someone else – a host? Or in other words did you go out and buy this Server or are you renting space on someone else’s Server.
