    BPS Security Log that gets emailed hourly is empty. See link- https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-B0EDYRnNkgm26X-TqWVrnDjXlAxtRKK/view?usp=sharing

    Where do I change this to email less often say once a day or once a week?

    That’s odd that the Security Log is blank.  Do you have Security Logging turned Off?  The email and log option settings are on the Email|Log Settings page.  The Security Log file is supposed to only be emailed to you when it reaches the size setting that you choose (256KB, 500KB or 1MB).  Are you receiving the Security Log zip file attachment in the emails?

    If you choose the Delete Log File option setting then no emails will be sent to you.  You really do not need to keep your old Security Log files.

    I do not get a .ZIP attached of the file.

    On the Email | Security screen

    all three are 1MB and Email Log & Delete Log File

    On the Security Log screen

    Security Log Status – Logging is Turned On

    When I click on the View Log I get this error message.

    Warning: file_get_contents(/wp-content/bps-backup/logs/http_error_log.txt): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /wp-content/plugins/bulletproof-security/admin/security-log/security-log.php on line 729

    Something is blocking/restricting the BPS Security Log file. That would explain why the email alerts are blank. Maybe it’s ModSecurity in your web host control panel or some other security measure. Change the Security Log email setting to: Delete Log File.
