    Hi & thx  ahead  –

Having trouble uploading a purchased plugin from Code-Canyon called:  Jnewsticker for WordPress. So far two attempts made to upload but error message says each time file cannot be uploaded. Here’s actions taken to enable the upload. Turning off BPS Pro AutoLock / Unlocking htaccess file/ uploading the plugin zip file. No success either time. Has anyone else had similar trouble with a newsticker plugin (or this particular plugin)?

Thx again for any help ideas.

How are you trying to upload the plugin?  FTP or using the WordPress Upload zip installer?  BPS does not block FTP uploads or the WordPress Upload zip installer, but if you are uploading files to a folder that is not excluded from being checked by AutoRestore while AutoRestore is turned on then those files will be Quarantined.  If you are uploading plugin files to the plugins folder and you have excluded the plugins folder from being checked by ARQ then files would not be sent to Quarantine.

What is the error message?  Which folder are you uploading files too?  Most likely this is not related to BPS and is some other problem that is occurring.

Hi Again -Sorry for delay getting back to you. Appears we have the plugin on now via WP Upload zip with AutoRestore/ARQ turned off.

Here’s glitch: Plugin dashboard is not showing the newsticker preview which uses java script to show correct.

    Thx ahead for yr ideas/help

Post the error in your BPS Security log for this plugin.  Please do not post your entire security log file and ONLY post the error that directly relates to this plugin.

    Thx –

Just updated to BPS Pro 6.0 and noticed Security log was off. Now turned on so will have to send once errors show. Now having glitch with some BPS Pro sidebar menu items (like Security Log in menu) not linking open… but this is another thread.

If you are already on a page where a menu link points to then nothing will happen.  There are several menu links that point to the same Main page.  These are convenience links/quick links.  For example if you are already on the main B-Core page and you click the Security Log menu link then that link points to the Security log tab page, which is a tab page of the main B-Core page and you will not be taken to the Security Log tab page because you are already on the main B-Core page.  You would click on the Security Log tab on the main B-Core page to view the Security log tab page.
