    Good day bps,

I just installed bps in a new and completed website.

However I encounter a few weird response during and after installed the bps.

    1. Uploaded BPS and insert all necessary keys. > Done

    2. Run Pre-Installation. . .  The Process shows normal results (no red error and theres 1 blue sentence that says it cant detect the Memory Limit Value and will be set to 128m by BPS

    3. Process to Setup Wizard

The above steps looks okay and normal after the steps above.

For your information, my website is running a cron from cpanel setup and the default wp cron has been disabled.

    There’s 1 code in

Custom Code > Root htaccess File Custom Code > on box 12( data as below ) blocked the cron which is due to wget

    # BEGIN BPSQSE BPS QUERY STRING EXPLOITS
    # The libwww-perl User Agent is forbidden - Many bad bots use libwww-perl modules, but some good bots use it too.
    # Good sites such as W3C use it for their W3C-LinkChecker.
    # Use BPS Custom Code to add or remove user agents temporarily or permanently from the
    # User Agent filters directly below or to modify/edit/change any of the other security code rules below.

    RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (sp_executesql) [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ - [F]
    # END BPSQSE BPS QUERY STRING EXPLOITS

Then I would like to change the whole box 12 code to:-

    # BEGIN BPSQSE BPS QUERY STRING EXPLOITS
    # The libwww-perl User Agent is forbidden - Many bad bots use libwww-perl modules, but some good bots use it too.
    # Good sites such as W3C use it for their W3C-LinkChecker.

    RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} (sp_executesql) [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ - [F]
    # END BPSQSE BPS QUERY STRING EXPLOITS

I Copied into the box 12, > Save Custom Root Code

THEN is divert me to Page Error 403

    Assumption of overall

    1. Cronjob was blocked
    2. Could not save the custom code on box 12 – Purpose to edit the custom code as above as the same code works on other website and has no problem/block on wget (I read this from NextScript autopost article)
    3. PHP error shows > [09-Dec-2017 16:56:38 UTC] PHP Warning: (null)(): 819 is not a valid cURL handle resource in Unknown on line 0

Please guide and looking for your advise.

    Regards,

    Alex

Sorry for the late reply.  We had some wild fires in our area.  Fortunately we were extremely lucky.  Stressful stuff.  If I am understanding the problem correctly then disabling WP Crons could be the problem.  WP and BPS Pro rely heavily on WP Crons. Additionally it sounds like you still have a Mod Security problem if you are unable to save BPS Pro Custom Code > Common known Mod Security issues/problems > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/mod-security-common-known-problems/ I think you probably need to contact your web host support at this point. 😉
