F-Lock – Folder Locked

Hi,
A folder was just locked in the root directory of my website. It’s not a folder I uploaded, so at this point, I’m not sure where it came from. The Read Me text for F-Lock suggests that I download the folder and its contents to check what’s inside before I delete it.

What are the steps for this? I tried to download it via cPanel, however, I seem to be unable to do so due to the folder’s permissions (or rather, lack thereof).

Use the F-Lock > Folder Lock > Unlock the folder that is locked.  Download a copy of that folder and delete it from your hosting account.  Then look at the contents of the folder for any malicious files.  Most likely your web host created this new folder.  Once you have confirmed the folder does not contain any malicious files you can upload the folder back to your hosting account.  The Folder Lock feature was a bad idea.  So I recommend that you turn if off and do not use it.
