    Hi,

My client can’t connect to the website anymore. He enters the login, pwd, bps code and then has this issue :
    taxi-sante.fr 403 Forbidden Error
If you arrived here due to a search or clicking on a link click your Browser’s back button to return to the previous page. Thank you.
I have tried and can’t connect neither with this particular login. It works with my personal login.

It is not the first time I have issue trying to connect (even with my login).

    Tks for your help.

When I try to check the /wp-login.php page for this site I see a 404 error.  Is this site using a custom login page?  To eliminate or confirm that BPS is causing this problem do the steps below.

Use FTP or the web host control panel file manager tool > delete the root website .htaccess file.
Try to login to the site.
If you are still unable to login to the site > rename the /plugins/bulletproof-security/ plugin folder to /_bulletproof-security.
    Login to the site.
Rename the /_bulletproof-security/ plugin folder back to /bulletproof-security/ and activate the BPS Pro plugin if it is deactivated.
Fix whatever is causing the login problem in JTC Anti-Spam|Anti-Hacker or Login Security and Monitoring plugin settings and activate Root folder BulletProof mode.
If you are unable to login to the site then the problem is being caused by something else > another plugin or a web host firewall or similar issue.

I see that js minification is being used in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin.  js minification is known to break websites.  js minification needs to be turned off in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin and not reenabled.  Additionally js minification actually causes website slowness on WordPress websites so it should never be used on a WordPress website.

    Tks for your kind answer.

Yes I have a custom login page coteadmin instead of wp-admin

Well… I didn’t do anything and it works again. No more issue.

It is not the first time I have this issue : I can’t connect and after a while it works again !

Do you think it can comes from js minification ?

    Tks

Intermittent problems are usually caused by caching plugins.  Typically corrupt cache that was not automatically cleared/deleted by the caching plugin at regular intervals.  js minification is known to cause intermittent caching problems for WordPress sites.  js minification should never be used on a WordPress website for any reason.

    Other causes for intermittent problems:
Web host server is having technical problems.
Web host firewall or other security measure is accidentally blocking things or is having problems.

Ok Great ! Let’s desactivate on all websites 🙂

Litespeed is a good plugin on your opinion ?

    Have a good day

Yes, LiteSpeed Cache is one of the best caching plugins available.  Most if not all caching plugins have a js minification option.  I have tested all the best WordPress caching plugins.  js minification simply breaks WordPress sites.  That problem happens in every single WordPress caching plugin. So js minification should never be used on a WordPress website for any reason.

    Ok great.

I’ve heard that there is also the “guest optimization” of LS cache which can cause conflict.

For a better compatibility with BPS Pro, should I turned this option OFF also ?

    Tks

LiteSpeed Cache Guest Optimization does not work with Cloudflare.  Guest Optimization is also known to cause problems for mobile devices.  Personally I don’t use any caching plugins and have instead created a custom Theme that is built for speed.  WordPress Themes are the #1 thing that causes a performance hit for WordPress sites because in order to make Themes that pass WordPress standards they contain excessive code that slows websites down.  My custom theme would not pass a WordPress Theme standards test because I have stripped out all the unnecessary code for maximum performance.

And the issue is not about BPS Pro compatibility.  Caching plugins just occasionally break stuff.  That is simply what happens with caching plugins.  Most caching plugins automatically clear stale cache at regular intervals to minimize problems.
