Invalid htaccess code – 500 Internal Server Error

I have made a stupid change to htaccess and now I have Internal server error 500. I do not know how to fix this via ftp because when I try to edit the file ARQ brings it back, when I try to delete it the same thing – arq brings it back. How to quickly resolve this? 😉

After going out of panic mode I have managed to fix this manually, so please remove this post 🙂

Here is a neat trick – delete the ARQ backup auto_.htaccess file first and then delete the actual root .htaccess file.  😉

/wp-content/bps-backup/autorestore/root-files/auto_.htaccess

That is what I did a minut after I stopped to panic that I see a blank page and error 500 😉
