    Email Question:

    Hi,

    Sorry to trouble you but is there any help on what has happened here.
    Both htaccess and php.ini file on all our sites have been flagged.

    I assume this is an update from the hosting company.

    This line has been added to php.ini

    zend_extension = /usr/local/php74/lib/php/extensions/ioncube.so

    And this to htaccess

    SetEnv PHPRC /home/customer/www/example.com/public_html/php.ini

    I assume for htaccess I just add the new code to text box 8 then click the Save Root Custom Code button and go to the Security Modes tab page and click the Root folder BulletProof Mode Activate button.

    Then can I just restore php.ini or do I need to do extra things?

    Many thanks,

    Ian

    Answer:

    Good job! I’m impressed with your firm grasp on how to fix this issue.

    You would add the new php/php.ini handler htaccess code in this Custom Code text box: 1. CUSTOM CODE TOP PHP/PHP.INI HANDLER/CACHE CODE
    … then click the Save Root Custom Code button and go to the Security Modes tab page and click the Root folder BulletProof Mode Activate button.

    And then restore the php.ini file from Quarantine.
