Hi, I’m not 100% sure that BPS Pro is is source of this issue, but a client’s Google Ads manager wrote me this morning to say that something in the site is blocking it. The site is https://t3greenhousesupply.com. Here is what he said:

“We’re having a very rare and random issue with his website, the issue is most likely for a web developer as I’ve troubleshooted it a good amount already. I’ve used the Google sitekit plugin to install Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. I use Google tag manager to track clicks and landing page redirect hits for conversion information.

“Problem- Sometimes GTM tracks clicks and sometimes it doesn’t, it’s almost as if an outside plugin or feature is blocking the GTM tracking(just a guess). So about 80% of the time when I test conversions I can’t get a single one to work, but randomly there will be a window of time where all conversions will work. Test it again 15min later and nothing works.”

Is this a known issue? If not, what do you need me to do?

    Thanks so much…

Looks like the problem is caused by the Web Worker Offloading plugin installed on that site > Problems with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager > https://wordpress.org/support/topic/google-analytics-and-this-does-not-work/

Note: When something is permanently blocked it could BPS. When something is intermittently blocked it cannot be BPS. Intermittent problems are caused by things like a caching plugin or the Web Worker Offloading plugin due to what they do.

js minification is enabled in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin on that website. It could very well be that js minification in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin is breaking js scripts in the Web Worker Offloading plugin. js minification is the absolute worst thing you can do on a website. So I would have the person turn off js minification in the LiteSpeed Cache plugin, delete all plugin cache and browser cache and test things for a couple of days. If the problem is still occurring then get rid of the Web Worker Offloading plugin and find something else.
