Hi,
Just set up a WPMU multisite with free user and subsite registration (https://publicept.com/), but the JTC captcha does not appear on the standard WordPress wp-signup.php page, even though I activated the JTC option “Register Form”. Is the JTC not implemented for the standard WordPress sign-up yet or did I miss something? I just want to make sure that no spam bots are registering users and sub-sites on my new multisite…
Thanks!
AITpro AdminKeymasterIf you want to setup all subsites with default JTC settings you would use the Setup Wizard > Setup Wizard Options > Network|Multisite Sitewide JTC Anti-Spam|Anti-Hacker Settings option setting or you can setup JTC per subsite individually.
QtwixParticipantThanks for your answer. However, this is not what I meant. My question was about the WPMU main site only. If you’re on the login page https://publicept.com/wp-admin/, you can see the WordPress’s registration link on the left below the login form, which I activated in the network settings (Network Admin > Settings > Allow new registrations). If you follow this link, you get to the sign-up page https://publicept.com/wp-signup.php. On this page, people can register for an account and also independently create a new sub-site. And on this sign-up page, it’s where I miss the JTC, as I just want real people to register, but ban any spam bots…
Thanks!
AITpro AdminKeymasterHmm there isn’t a JTC CAPTCHA for a Network|Multisite wp-signup.php Registration page. I’m not really sure why that is. I will need to check on this and get back to you.
QtwixParticipantOk, thanks! As the wp-signup.php is a WordPress built-in feature, I think it would be very important to implement the JTC CAPTCHA the same way as it is on the login page and on the password recovery page.
I’m looking forward to hear from you…
AITpro AdminKeymasterThe multisite/network Registration page Form (wp-signup.php) will be added to JTC in the next BPS Pro version release. No specific ETA on when BPS Pro 13.5 will be released, but it should be released anywhere from 7-15 days from now.
QtwixParticipantOk, this is really great news! Thank you very much for your effort to make this possible! So I look forward to BPS Pro 13.5 …
