One of the catch 22 situations with SpamCop is that if you are sharing a Mail Server with other folks then if someone is abusing that Mail Server it does not do you any good to dispute or resolve the issue with SpamCop.
Ie if someone else is using and abusing the same Mail Server that we are using then we have no control over any of these things below. At some point we will be moving to Dedicated hosting so we would probably have more control over the Server environment.
If there are no reports of ongoing objectionable email from this system it will be delisted automatically in approximately 16 hours.
Causes of listing
System has sent mail to SpamCop spam traps in the past week (spam traps are secret, no reports or evidence are provided by SpamCop)
SpamCop users have reported system as a source of spam about 10 times in the past week
Automatic delisting
If you are the Network Owner/User of [host mail server name removed] and you are sure it will not be the subject of any more reports of spam, you may cause the system to be delisted without waiting for us to review the issue.
SpamCop will refuse to delist an IP if the problem continues after multiple delistings
So please be sure that the problem is really and truly resolved. If you delist your system and we get more spam reports about it, you will not be allowed to expedite delisting again. Delisting normally occurs 24 hours after spam reports have ceased.
I’ve resolved potential problem and confirm delisting action
