ModSecurity can be configured to generate many different types of errors when ModSecurity is blocking something > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/mod-security-common-known-problems/

You will need to contact your web host and ask them to create a whitelist rule for the mscan.php and mscan-ajax-functions.php files.
