    Hi,

Thought I would raise this issue here, as I’ve been trying to figure out what’s going on with the Plugin creator.

I used to have the plugin Newsletter https://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/ installed.  But I uninstalled it and its no longer showing up in my plugins list.

Since uninstalling, everytime Newsletter has an update, the follow new tables are created. This is captured in the Database Monitor log.

I’ve ftp’d into the backend and checked the plugin folder but I have not found any files for Newsletter.

What could be causing this issue?  My first thought was that it didn’t uninstall properly. Such as a file being located elsewhere – not in the usual directory – which could be causing it to think it’s still installed?  I’m just not sure where to look.

    Cheers

    -Tina

You can use the BPS Pro > Pro-Tools > DB Table Cleaner|Remover tool to check if the Newsletter plugin database tables are actually really being created and then delete/drop them using the DB Table Cleaner|Remover tool or you can login to your web host control panel and use phpMyAdmin to login to your database and delete/drop the Newsletter plugin database tables.  If a plugin is uninstalled then you should not be receiving any WP plugin upgrade notices.  So I assume the plugin is not really uninstalled then.  Double check all your installed plugins and check under the Plugins page > Must-Use link to see if the Newsletter plugin is still installed somewhere.  Not really sure what else to tell you check.

The only plugin located in the must use is the BPS Pro MU tools.  I’ve double checked the plugins list and ftp’d in again to the back end but there’s no Newsletter plugin.

Four tables for Newsletter exist though. So, I’ve manually removed these.

    • wp_newsletter
    • wp_newsletter_emails
    • wp_newsletter_sent
    • wp_newsletter_stats

It was a recommended plugin for the theme I’m using (but not necessary to use it). I have the same theme installed on another site (for over a year) and I don’t have the same issue. However, I installed and uninstalled Newsletter on the site in question and have not done the same on the other one.
