PHP Error – MySQL server has gone away for query

Hello –

I noticed the following message in my PHP Error Log:

[08-Mar-2013 05:32:56] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT * FROM wp_bpspro_arq_exclude WHERE arq_exclude_source LIKE ‘%/%’ made by do_action_ref_array, call_user_func_array, bps_ARQ_wpcontent

Any idea what it could be?

If this php error is occurring intermittently then this is completely normal/typical.  If this php error is occurring constantly then that would not be normal.  Things that can cause a WordPress Database query to not complete successfully.

Too many DB query requests at the same time.

Temporary Server connectivity issue.

A totally random php processing error or Server hiccup.

A bad/malformed query was sent to the DB.
