Today received Hosting notice of “hack”
However these all appear to relate to bps-backup – so unsure if it is a false report.

Almost every domain on a server we have the notice ends with

    bps-backup/mscan/mscan-pattern-match.php:edoced_46esab /

    and would appreciate any insight

    Many thanks again.

Yep, false alarm.  Website malware scanners are very limited in what they can do/detect.  The BPS Pro Mscan mscan-pattern-match.php file uses the same defunct pattern matching scans that all web host malware scanners use.  Luckily BPS Pro has AutoRestore|Quarantine, which is far superior to defunct website malware scanners. We only added the BPS Pro MScan feature because most folks think website malware scanners are a reliable website security tool – not at all of course.  Think of a website malware scanner as a friend who took one on the head a few too many times during the regular season. LOL

So just ignore that warning from your web host malware scanner. 😉

You can remove items from the Quarantine. When you remove an item from the Quarantine, it is permanently deleted from your computer and cannot be restored later. Therefore, you must be sure that a quarantined item is no longer required before you delete it.
