A possibility is corrupt Browser cache or plugin cache. Try clearing your Browser and plugin cache if you are using a caching plugin. If you have any security measures installed in your Browser or on your computer then check those things as well.
And of course there could be some sort of issue with the clone itself. Typically clone issues can be resolved by deactivating and reactivating a plugin or switching a theme that is not working correctly. The logic is that by deactivating and reactivating a plugin or switching a theme then any DB options or other settings will probably update themselves for/to the new site.
