updating from .54.2 to latest

    Hi,

    I just bought my web site back on line after 3 years and have bullet proof security .54.2 installed. As I have previously encountered problems when updating BPS I have resisted doing so until I’ve researched any potential problems in doing so.. its a big jump and I don’t want the site to go down .. any advice?

    Yep, way back there was a bug in older BPS plugin versions that caused problems with the root htaccess file during the update to a newer BPS plugin version. That bug was fixed in later versions of BPS and that problem no longer occurs.  I received your direct email to us and have responded to your email.
