    Email Question:
    Hi Ed,
In reference to the above in your help, I tried changing it to 705 and it seemed to do so… but then immediately after I could not access even the home page…I set permissions back to 750, which is what is was before, and regained access. I did it twice and got the same results both times. Any ideas? There is some javascript on the home page, but I think that’s all, and it doesn’t give me that kind of error. It just says I do not have permission to access. The host in question is Hostwinds. I don’t really need a fix or anything, but I thought you might be interested in knowing about it …

There are 1000’s of different web hosts and most of them use the same standards in regards to website root folder permissions.  The only way to know for sure what your particular web host does allow in regards to website root folder permissions is to ask them this question directly.
