Thank you for your great suggestions for improving security for WordPress and HTML-based websites. I will purchase BPS Pro after completing discussions with my client mid-week. I do have one odd-ball website which appears to be some kind of WordPress knock-off. It uses PHP and MySQL but it is definitely not a WordPress installation. Do you have any suggestions for improving security for a site like this?
You can manually add an .htaccess file to the website root folder for that other php site using a copy of the WordPress root .htaccess file and you can setup AutoRestore/Quarantine to monitor that other php website’s files from a WordPress site that you have installed under the same Hosting Account.
