ParticipantAfter installation all of my redirects are gone. I’ve read through many faqs and forum post and can not find an answer. Redirect loops, http to https, but I cannot find a simple answer: where did my original htacces redirects go, and how do I make them show up again?
Thanks

KeymasterThe simplest thing to do would be to restore your old htaccess file from a personal file backup or a web host file backup. The Setup Wizard also copies a backup of your Root htaccess file on first run to this folder: /wp-content/bps-backup/master-backups/root.htaccess.

ParticipantOK, as in the original question…where do I put them? I have a copy, but find no instructions as to where to put them, nor did I see anything telling me they would go away…but I suppose that is a moot point now. The only instructions I could find was for a redirect “loop”…huh?
Nice program…and the most confusing instructions I’ve ever seen. Sorry, but I’m lost.

KeymasterBPS has a feature called “Custom Code”. On the main htaccess Core page you will see a tab called “Custom Code”. BPS Custom Code is used to save your custom/personal htaccess code so that is incorporated/included in the BPS master htaccess file. Each Custom Code text box has a description and a brief explanation of what kind of htaccess code goes in each Custom Code text box. For htaccess redirect code you would copy and paste your custom htaccess redirect code into this Custom Code text box: 14. CUSTOM CODE BOTTOM HOTLINKING/FORBID COMMENT SPAMMERS/BLOCK BOTS/BLOCK IP/REDIRECT CODE. For SSL/HTTPS rewrite/redirect code see this forum topic for the steps to add SSL/HTTPS rewrite/redirect code into BPS Custom Code > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/wordpress-ssl-htaccess-code-rewrite-ssl-rewritecond-server_port/#post-7233 Note: You can either use your SSL/HTTPS htaccess code or you can use the SSL/HTTPS htaccess code in that forum topic. If you would like to see a Custom Code video tutorial that generally shows how to use Custom Code, you will find that here > https://forum.ait-pro.com/video-tutorials/#custom-code Note: The BPS Read Me help buttons throughout the BPS plugin contain help information and links to forum topics. The Help & FAQ tab pages also contain links to forum help topics.

ParticipantOK, it worked. Thanks.
So, I looked at another install of this I have…and the redirects are all gone from it too…?
I found an old version of an htaccess file that was made by a previous version of BPS that had them.
Am I to assume that there was an update sometime between 11/16 and 7/17 (from file dates) that wiped all of my custom code, even though it was originally recognized by BPS?

KeymasterDuring BPS upgrades BPS will only update BPS htaccess code if needed. So I’m not really sure what might have caused that problem.
