Email Question:
Hello,
updated today my website to the new bps version, and would like to know if this was correct.
https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/autorestore-added-folders-files-rebuild-setup-steps/
Please see here the Folder path:
/var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/cache /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/et-cache /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/ewww /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/languages /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/maintenance /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/mu-plugins /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/plugins /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/themes /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/uploads /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/wflogs /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/wp-rocket-config
Please see here the File path:
/var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/advanced-cache.php /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/object-cache.php
I just copy every path (like in the screenshot example /cache) to enter Hosting Account Root Folder
Then I choose Add Top Level Folder – All Sub Folders …
And after Just press addIs this correct, or do I miss something?
AITpro AdminKeymasterAnswer:
Your hosting account root folder path is: /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs
The plugins folder is protected by the BPS Pro Plugin Firewall feature.
The themes folder is already monitored and protected by AutoRestore|Quarantine.
The uploads folder is protected by the BPS Pro UAEG feature./var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/plugins /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/themes /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/uploads
These are excluded folders that you would NOT add to Added Folders and Files:
You do NOT want AutoRestore|Quarantine to check this folders because these folders are dynamically updated and files will be repeatedly quarantined./var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/cache /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/et-cache /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/ewww /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/languages /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/maintenance /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/mu-plugins /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/wflogs /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/wp-rocket-config
These are excluded files that you would NOT add to Added Folders and Files:
You do NOT want AutoRestore|Quarantine to check this files because these files are dynamically updated and these files will be repeatedly quarantined./var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/advanced-cache.php /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/wp-content/object-cache.php
I think you are misunderstanding what the AutoRestore Add Folders & Files feature is intended to be used for.
By default AutoRestore|Quarantine monitors and protects all WP Core folders (wp-admin, wp-content and wp-includes) except for folders and files that are excluded because those folders and files are dynamically updated. The Add Folders & Files feature should only be used for non-WP Core folders and files.Examples:
If you have an example folders here that you want the AutoRestore|Quarantine Add Folders & Files feature to monitor and protect. You would add these folders in the Add Folders & Files feature:
Note: Each folder would be added individually using the Add Folders & Files form. You can only add 1 folder/folder path at a time./var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/vz01pro1/example-folder /var/www/vhosts/xxxxx/httpdocs/example-folder
For both of these example folders you would choose the Add Top Level Folder option to monitor and protect all folders and files under these example folders.
