    The source of the malfunction is definitely with my web host.  I noticed recently that they have implemented some new security features recently that shut down things that it feels are unsafe.  So my automated API server code that has been working for 12+ years is now triggering this new security measure on their server and it is killing the script.  Irritating, but for now my new API server code compensates for that idiocy.

    Working perfectly again on the initial site I spotted the problem with. Thanks!

    The AITpro API server handles things like checking if a website has a valid BPS Pro Activation key, creates and sends Activation keys when someone is activating BPS Pro on a website, BPS Pro plugin upgrade checks and various other tasks.  BPS Pro security features continue to work on a website even if the API server cannot validate the BPS Pro activation key for a period of 48 hours. After 48 hours the BPS Pro plugin is automatically deactivated on that website.

    And if I get hit by a bus then the API server automatically turns itself off after 2 days, which means BPS Pro plugin activation and activation keys will no longer be required. I created a failsafe where I have to manually confirm normal API server operation every 2 days.

    You may want to steer clear of the UK. There’s a lot of buses.

    Thank you for putting some long term thought into the code.
