We are using Pipeline to automate backups.. yes, I understand that we need to configure BPS Pro as stated here:

    http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/installing-w3-total-cache-with-bulletproof-security-pro/

    specifically :

    1. Go to F-Lock and unlock both your Root .htaccess file and your wp-config.php file.
    2. Turn off AutoRestore.
    3. Install W3 Total Cache.
    4. Click the 4 Backup Files buttons on the AutoRestore page.
    5. Turn AutoRestore back on.
    6. Go to F-Lock and lock both your Root .htaccess file and your wp-config.php file.

The question is, how can we use Master Pipeline Plugin and Slave plugin to work with BPS Pro to automate things… regarding backups and cloning.

    Please help.

I do not completely understand the question.  The closest plugin I could find with a name like Master Pipeline plugin was the WP Pipeline plugin.  I could not find a plugin named Slave plugin.  Please post the exact names of the plugins in your reply.

Regarding cloning, migrating or moving websites in general see this Forum link below.

Also if this plugin is storing backups on the website then you will need to Calibrate (exclude dynamic files or folders from being checked by ARQ) AutoRestore/Quarantine to not check these folders or files.  See the Forum link below on how to Calibrate ARQ.

Sorry about the confusion. We are using WP Pipeline (that includes a Master and a Slave plugin – Master is installed to control other websites and WP Pipeline Slave plugin is installed for each “controlled” websites).

I understand that when cloning websites, prior steps should be done first as explained in http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/migrating-moving-or-cloning-websites/

My question is if we do backups using WP Pipeline plugin, can we use that backup to restore files when something unexpected thing happens ? Or we should do some steps with BPS Pro first before doing backups.

Also, about Calibrating/excluding files or folders .. can you please take a look at the WP Pipeline plugin and inform us which specific file or folder to exclude ?  I can send you the plugins if you need it.

You should exclude the /wp-content/bps-backup folder from being backed up.  There is no need to back these files up.  They are completely protected and there are also duplicate files in this folder.  And what I do is have my backups sent to and stored in the /bps-backup folder.  😉

No need to send me the plugin.  This is a very, very simple thing to do.  We are recommending that you exclude the /plugins folder these days because the Plugin Firewall completely protects the /plugins folder so there is no need to have ARQ check the /plugins folder.  Quarantine has a Restore File option that allows you to restore files back to where they were if they are sent to Quarantine.  If and when that happens you will have your file or folder paths to exclude displayed to you in Quarantine.  😉  Simple.

I already excluded the plugins folder as seen in your tutorial video =) and I’ll exclude that bps-backup folder too after this post.

    Thanks !
