Magic Members Internal Server Error

Hello Admin,

Compliments.

Thanks for your work the other day on helping set up BPS Pro with OIO.

There’s a new problem though, this time with the Magicmembers plugin. This seems to be happening on one of my wordpress installations where I have both the MGM plugin and bps pro installed. Please note that I have BPS Pro and MGM on a number of sites using other gateways but this particular installation uses BPS Pro + MGM + 2checkout gateway.

When I fill the registration form and hit “BUY SUBSCRIPTION”, I am supposed to be taken to the 2checkout website. but Instead of seeing my chosen subscription plan on the 2checkout website, I get an “Internal Server Error” message on the 2checkout page. When I refresh that page, I get a 2checkout page with the name of my website but an empty cart.

I have contacted my host and they say it’s something with the .htaccess file. They also sent me logs of my apache error log.

Please I need your help to check this out. I will send you the content of the error log as well as username and password for admin access. Please check your inbox

Please do the standard BPS Pro Troubleshooting steps to determine if BPS Pro is causing this issue/problem and which particular feature of BPS Pro is causing the issue/problem. ie root BulletProof Mode, Plugin Firewall, etc.

If you see any errors logged in your Security Log that are directly related to Magic Members then post ONLY those errors.

You need to create a Plugin Firewall Whitelist rule for the Magic Members plugin js scripts.
/magicmembers/core/assets/js/(.*).js
Copy and paste this Whitelist rule to the Plugin Firewall Whitelist Text Area, click the Save Whitelist Options button and activate the Plugin Firewall again.

Probably. I did this as well as some other suggestions from the plugin vendor. All the approaches together have led to the result that all now works well.

Actually, I just tried this (/magicmembers/core/assets/js/(.*).js) again and it was a bit of a disaster.

The Magicmembers page lost some of its style and the pages of other plugins like the OIO showed internal server error.

I quickly removed that line from the whitelist. BUT while some of the styles of the MGM page come back, some of its styles are missing, like the border is gone and some colors are gone. Please how do I restore these pages to the way they were before I applied the line (/magicmembers/core/assets/js/(.*).js)?

MGM page styles are now fully back.
