BPS Pro does not have any features that automatically deletes website files.  BPS Pro has AutoRestore|Quarantine, which autorestores and quarantines files.  See the ARQ Guide here: http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/autorestore-quarantine-guide-read-me-first/  Maybe files were autorestore or quarantined?  Do you see files in Quarantine?  Did you receive an email alert about files being quarantined?  Do you see a Dashboard alert that says files were quarantined?  Do you see any Quarantine Log entries showing that these files were autorestored or quarantined?

[Topic has been merged into this general Topic – not enough information to determine if the problem is related to or caused by BPS Pro]
I know there must be an answer for this somewhere in the forum but I simply can’t find any. My site is completely blank, no login or homepage after running the setup wizard, even when I tried to open the xternal.php but the page is also blank. I’ve tried renaming the plugins folder and have deleted the secure .htaccess file from root and wp-admin. Please list the troublshooting steps to get back in and find the fault, thanks.
    regards,
    Chris Moon

Go to this folder and email this AutoRestore|Quarantine Log file:  /wp-content/bps-backup/logs/autorestore_log.txt to:  info at ait-pro dot com so I can take a look at it.

Do you see the WordPress .maintenance htaccess file in your /public_html/ folder?  If so, delete it.

@ Paul – This step was intended for Chris Moon and not you:  “Go to this folder and email this AutoRestore|Quarantine Log file: /wp-content/bps-backup/logs/autorestore_log.txt to: info at ait-pro dot com so I can take a look at it.”

@ Paul – I occaisonally see this same problem on my sites.  WordPress and other plugins add the WordPress .maintenance htaccess file to the website root folder and sometimes it does not get removed like it should or a server hiccup/problem occurs.  The WordPress .maintenance htaccess file is used to put your site in Maintenance Mode temporarily while things are being updated/upgraded and then it is supposed to be deleted automatically.  You just need to make sure the .maintenance htaccess file has been deleted by checking and doing that manually if something fails to delete it automatically.

It is a site rebuild and I’ve reinstalled the exactly same theme (Thesis) and plugins, there is are no conflicts between the installed plugins. I ran BPS Pro setup wizard and logged out, when I wanted to login again the page is blank there is no error message just a blank page, would you please point me to the thread for troubleshooting BPS Pro and WP’s white wall of death I couldn’t find it, but I’m sure I’ve seen something about it before. Thanks.

OK, it’s not in there(root directory) and site is working so i guess i can just delete from quarantine

@ Paul – Correct since AutoRestore|Quarantine already “fixed” the problem by quarantining the .maintenance htaccess file that should have been deleted, but due to some failure on your server or with a plugin it was not.
