Tutorial for Plugin Upgrades – AutoRestore Plugin Upgrades

I have many plugins on my site that frequently need upgrading. Is there a tutorial somewhere that shows what I need to change on BPS before I upgrade (or even add) a plugin?

I believe you are asking about AutoRestore/Quarantine normal procedures when upgrading or installing plugins.  As of BPS Pro 5.4 you can now exclude the entire /plugins folder from being checked by AutoRestore/Quarantine (ARQ Infinity) because the new Plugin Firewall completely protects the /plugins folder from being accessed remotely/externally.  What this means is if you exclude the /plugins folder from being check by ARQ then you do not have to do the standard ARQ procedural steps when upgrading or installing plugins.  To Exclude the entire plugins see this link >>> http://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/autorestore-quarantine-exclude-plugins-folder-and-themes-folder/

That will be very handy. I was getting myself into a pickle!
Are there any tutorials for how to upgrade the BPS plugin itself? I’ve been reading some stuff about auto upgrade but can’t work out how.
