Hello,
I’m considering to upgrade from a free to a pro account. I’m not a techie so I have a few questions.
Curently I’m on Godaddy webhosting, with PHP 5.2. Don’t know how to check the CGI thing. I have read http://www.ait-pro.com/aitpro-blog/2853/bulletproof-security-pro/php-ini-general-and-host-specific-php-ini-information-for-bps-pro/#godaddy but it’s a bit complicated for me as English sn’t my native laguage and on top of it I’m not very skilled in those things.
I have seweral other plugins installed like Wordfence, WordPress Firewall 2, WordPress Security.
With free version everything works ok. Will after upgrading everything work smooth? I do not have the neede skills to fix things quickly and the publisher would’t like the website to be out of order.AITpro AdminKeymasterWe offer to install and setup BPS Pro on 1 website at no charge, but most folks watch the BPS Pro installation and setup video tutorial and do not have any issues or problems. If you run into problems then we will be glad to finish the BPS Pro setup.
LanesaMemberI need help upgrading as well… I keep getting an error message that won’t allow me to update to the pro. I currently have the FREE version activation. I tried un-installing and installing the PRO version but that didn’t help either.
AITpro AdminKeymaster@Lanesa – Is this the error message that you are seeing in the link below when trying to upgrade to BPS Pro?

LanesaMemberYes that’s the error message I’m getting!!!!
AITpro AdminKeymasterThis is unfortunately a very common issue. The problem is that the WordPress Upload Zip installer (PCLZIP) adds a number onto the end of the folder name. FTP to your website and rename the /bulletproof-security1 folder name to just /bulletproof-security.
I will figure out how to stop WordPress (PCLZIP) from doing this eventually. 😉

MikeMemberI have a question re: upgrading to BPS Pro but was unable to use the site contact form in 3 browsers. Would love to communicate with someone about how the upgrade might fare with my site (I have several sites with similar configurations) before upgrading. Thanks –
AITpro AdminKeymasterIf you have BPS free installed then check the BPS Pro Compatibility page for any possible incompatibilities:
Generally if you have BPS free installed and everything is working fine then everything should work fine with BPS Pro installed. The main support email address is info at ait-pro dot com if you have specific technical questions regarding your particular Server/Host configurations.
The contact form has been re-enabled.
