Hello

I appear to be having communications problems between my site and Jetpack/ publicize. The Jetpack debug log reads

SELF:
Array
(
[headers] => Array
(

[body] =>
XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 503 )
It looks like XML-RPC is not responding correctly. curl -d 'demo.sayHello</methodName></methodCall>' http://www.xxxxxxxwebsitenamexxxxx.com/contents1a/xmlrpc.php

The answer should be:

<methodResponse>
<params>

<value>
<string>Hello!</string>
</value>

</params>
</methodResponse>"}

For info BPS installed using the setup wizard. Tried deactivating BPS – no difference – So not sure if it is BPS or something else going on? This maybe be of use to work out what is going on — but it is all gobbledygook to me… http://usefulmix.com/wordpress-nginx-varnish-jetpack-xml_rpc-32700-glitch-fix/ Any thoughts or anyone else having similar issues?
Cheers in advance

Check your BPS Security Log file and post any log entries that are directly related to Jetpack publicize.

Hello Keymaster…. Always the way when you call in the engineer…. The blasted thing works again. Soooo frustrating. For the help of others: it appears that if you have the Anticipate plugin by Elegant Themes active it stops any connection through to your site. Deactiveate it and yippee life resumes. Chalk that one up to 10hrs wasted of my life:-)

Yeah I hear you. I have to remind myself not to go to deep and start from the most basic troubleshooting steps first. Standard WP troubleshooting steps. Deactivate plugins one by one. Switch your theme.

FYI – BPS and BPS Pro have built-in troubleshooting (Security Log, Turn On/Off for every single security feature) so you do not need to deactivate them to do troubleshooting and actually if you deactivate BPS or BPS Pro you no longer have any troubleshooting tools to use. 😉
