Hi, I just installed BulletProof Security Pro yesterday and now I cannot enable to Divi Visual Builder that I have to edit my website. Just wondering if there is a conflict with BulletProof Pro and Divi Builder. I am not very good with website stuff so please help.

Go to the BPS Pro > Logs & Info menu > Security Log menu link and copy and paste any Security Log entries for Divi Visual Builder and paste them in your reply so that I can see what is being blocked.  Also post a link to your website so I can take a look at the frontend Source Code of the site.

Hi, thanks for your prompt reply! Somehow it is working again. I think it may have been a problem on Divi’s end. If there are problems moving forward I will follow your instructions. Thanks!

Or maybe the Plugin Firewall AutoPilot Mode had not created new Plugin Firewall whitelist rules for Divi Visual Builder yet. The AutoPilot Mode cron job runs every 15 minutes and checks for any new whitelist rules that need to be created and then automatically creates them.  You can change the time setting for AutoPilot Mode cron frequency to something lower like 10 minutes or 5 minutes.

Ok I changed AutoPilot Mode cron to 5 minutes. Should I change it to 1 minute or is that too much? Thank you so much for your help!

Also my website is https://www.rootedheartscounseling.com/ in case that may help.

5 minutes is fine. The Cron job barely uses any resources at all so it won’t negatively impact your website performance at all.

What file was quarantined?  Check the BPS Pro Quarantine Log page and copy and paste the log entry information for the quarantined file.  What does this “Divi Visual Builder cannot be enabled to edit my website” mean exactly?  What does “enabled” mean?.  Check the BPS Pro Security Log page and copy and paste the log entry information in your forum reply if it is related to Divi Visual Builder.

The problem that occurred is that Divi Theme files were quarantined.  Did you upgrade your Divi Theme manually or upload Divi Theme folders and files manually?  If so, see the “AutoRestore|Quarantine Manual File Editing/Uploading Procedural Steps” help section in the AutoRestore|Quarantine Guide forum topic for future reference > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/autorestore-quarantine-guide-read-me-first/

To fix the Divi Theme problem do the steps in this forum topic > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/website-not-loading-after-wordpress-upgrade-or-theme-upgrade-500-error-files-quarantined/

[Security Log contents copied and deleted except for this other issue below]

Hi, the updates were available on the WordPress section and I clicked update for the theme. I think it may be because of the new WordPress 5.0 release that they may have had an update.

On here https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/website-not-loading-after-wordpress-upgrade-or-theme-upgrade-500-error-files-quarantined/ it says to “Use FTP and rename the /bulletproof-security/ plugin folder to /_bulletproof-security/” where is the FTP?

Also, step 2 asks me to download copies of the files below. Where do I download these files and I cannot find them.
    /wp-content/bps-backup/quarantine/root-files/
    /wp-content/bps-backup/quarantine/wp-admin/
    /wp-content/bps-backup/quarantine/wp-includes/
    /wp-content/bps-backup/quarantine/wp-content/

    Thanks for the help!

Only the Divi Theme files were quarantined and not any WordPress Core files luckily.  I don’t think anything major changed in WP Plugin and Theme updates, but we will double check that to make sure there is not some new problem that needs to be fixed for WP 5.0.

The Security Log entry that you posted above will require a whitelist rule in the BPS Pro UAEG htaccess file for the SG Optimizer plugin.  See the “CUSTOM CODE UAEG Whitelisting Method” help section in the forum topic link below.  Important:  Replace “example-folder” in the example whitelisting help info with the actual SG Optimizer folder name, which is:  siteground-optimizer-assets

Have you ever connected to your hosting account using an FTP application like FileZilla, WinSCP or any other FTP applications installed on your computer?
