I’m getting the Script/File ID mismatch notice on my site and not sure how to fix this or just able to dismiss it?

@ Ken Kashuba > see this forum reply for the fix > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/scriptfile-owner-user-id-mismatch-notice-on-all-sites-but-no-mismatches/#post-40893 This could have been caused by the AITpro API server problems today. So if this error is no longer occurring then great.

We have created a staging site so we can create a new theme and some other work

We turned off autorestore before doing this.

We also did an export of of settings

When we have logged in to the staging site we get these warnings – Any advice on what to do? Thanks

You have different Script or File Owner User ID’s for this folder or file: All Script and File Owner User ID’s must be the same in order for BPS and other things to function normally.

The “PHP Error Log Location Set To” value does not match the “Error Log Path Seen by Server” value.
Click Here to go to the PHP Error Log page.
Copy the “Error Log Path Seen by Server” value: blank/none into the “PHP Error Log Location Set To” text box and click the Set Error Log Location button to fix this unless you see “blank/none” for the value.
If you see “blank/none” for the value click this forum link: PHP Error Log Path Does Not Match for how to fix this problem.
Cause of the problem: The BPS ini_set Options code does not exist in the wp-config.php file.

Sorry I should have added, before we could create the staging site, the webhost said we had to move from their linux platform to their wordpress platform.

The first attempt failed and they said the following which we agreed to:

Thank you for coming back to us again in regards to this issue.

The issue is that your site is installed here:

    walXXXX.com/public_html/

are we ok to move it to:

    public_html/

which should allow us to move the site to WordPress.

For the PHP Error Log Path Does Not Match alert the “Cause of the problem: The BPS ini_set Options code does not exist in the wp-config.php file.” Go to the PHP Options menu > ini_set Options tab > click Save|Enable Options.  Note: If your wp-config.php file does not exist in your WordPress installation folder then this will not work. You can turn off the the alert by going to the Display & Alerts Options menu > change this option setting PHP Error Log: Check Folder Path Location Alert to Turn Off Displayed Alerts.

A staging site I made has the error message:

You have different Script or File Owner User ID’s for this folder or file: All Script and File Owner User ID’s must be the same in order for BPS and other things to function normally.

I ran the activation wizard a few times.

I also uploaded a zip install of BPS Pro just in case.

    Re-ran the activation wizard.

    No help.

What next steps should I make?

    Thanks!

@ beatty2020 – did you do the steps in this forum reply > https://forum.ait-pro.com/forums/topic/scriptfile-owner-user-id-mismatch-notice-on-all-sites-but-no-mismatches/#post-40893

A few people have run into a problem with the DB backup folder having a different Script|File Owner User ID.  The quickest way to fix this problem is to use the DB Backup > Create Backup Jobs Accordion Tab/button > Rename|Create|Reset Tool.  The Rename|Create|Reset Tool renames the DB Backup folder, which corrects the Script|File Owner User ID problem.  The root cause of the problem occurs when someone does a website move/migration/clone.  I’ll automate a fix for this or add additional help info in the BPS Mismatch Notice.

If you have never used the DB Backup feature then create a test manual DB Backup Job with default Backup Job option settings just to get rid of the Script|File Owner User ID Mismatch Notice.

If you unable to create a test manual DB Backup Job then the DB Backup folder is corrupt and needs to be deleted using FTP. A new DB Backup folder will automatically be created by BPS. That should automatically fix this problem.

    Yes ok, working!

    Thanks!

PS A lot of my work requires migrating sites sometimes multiple times. I think it’ll be great if you can automate the fix. But I’ve also made note for easy access your solution since I’ve seen the same error before. Thanks again.

I’m having this problem after a blogvault staging migration.

Tried to rename the folder unsuccessfully and was unable to create a test manual DB Backup Job.

I tried using cpanel’s file manager to temporarily rename the db-backup-security folder (before deleting it) but the site crashed.

(Once I corrected the folder name to ‘db-backup-security’ the site resumed functioning)

    What’s next?

Any time you are doing a website migration, move, clone, etc. AutoRestore needs to be turned off before migrating, moving, cloning a website. After completing a website migration, move, clone, etc. go to the Setup Wizard and run the Pre-Installation Wizard and Setup Wizard.

OK, thank you! Didn’t know about turning off autorestore. (Have never done a migration before, had no way of knowing and blogvault’s instructions were thin. Worked great after a couple of failures due to the lack thereof, however.)

Ran the setup wizard. Notice was still there. Dismissed it.

Still getting Error: “The DB Backup Folder Location option setting is either blank or incorrect.”

Clicked the Rename button and that didn’t work.

You probably need to change the path to the new DB Backup Folder location. Take a look at the folder path in this DB Backup option setting:  DB Backup Folder Location. Or maybe you just need to create a Manual DB Backup to update BPS option settings. I believe that error check, checks old DB Backup folder paths against what is saved in the DB Backup Folder Location text box.
